Why You Should Enroll in MTVAC Tennis Summer Camps

We all know that tennis is a great sport for kids. Here are a few reasons to get your kids involved:

  1. Tennis for kids promotes health and fitness to children. In the tech age we are living in, our kids just don’t get the exercise they need.  They are either playing video games, sitting on the couch watching TV, on the computer, or playing games on their cell phone.  Tennis is a great way to provide them the opportunity to get the exercise they need!
  2. Kids socialize through shared activities that shows them how to be independent yet work within a group.
  3. Secondly, tennis is a great sport that teaches children life lessons.  Life lessons like working hard, being honest, problem solving, as well as creating a group of friends.
  4. Our camps are all indoors. We all know that the summers here get very hot and thunderstorms come unexpectedly.  But our indoor tennis courts will protect your children from the heat and since we are indoors, the camps will never get cancelled due to inclement weather.
  5. Lastly, tennis is fun!

More Than Just a Tennis for Kids – Our Summer Camp Program Has More!

Our Summer Program Goes Beyond Summer Camp Fun – we include a play-based curriculum that includes recreational activities that are age appropriate.  Kids are active and learn other sports and fitness games.

Summer Tennis/Sports Camp Schedule

9:00 am – 9:30 am – Stretch, Dynamic Warm-up and Fitness

9:30 am – 10:00 am – Drills focusing on Stroke of the Day

10:00 am- 10:45 am – Recreational Activities (capture flag, obstacle course activities, ultimate Frisbee or other activity)

10:45 am – 11:00 am – Break

11:00 am -12:00 pm – Serve and Return of Serve

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Lunch

1:00 pm – 1:45 pm –  Recreational Activities (capture flag, obstacle course activities, ultimate Frisbee or other activity)

1:45 pm – 2:45 pm – Games or Match Play

2:45 pm – 3:00 pm – Wrap up
