MTVAC member Tom Pardini races for GSHIt’s official – Tom Pardini raced against dogs, children and skirt-clad athletes to finish the 8 Tuff Miles race in St. John. Coming in at 1:31:16, Tom ran at a 10:54 per mile pace and was in the top third of all runners. “I finished!!!” exclaimed Tom. “I was beaten by a small dog with a knee brace, a woman in a two-toned purple tutu, a man in a kilt, and at least 10 children under 12 years old.”

The 8 Tuff Miles race takes place every year on the beautiful St. John island, part of the U.S. Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. Tom set out not just to complete the race, but to raise money and awareness for a good cause.
